The new version of Band Aid's Do They Know It's Christmas? will feature original voices from the 1984 recording, alongside some of the younger artists who appeared in later versions - and a young Bono singing alongside his older self.

Band Aid have announced that they will celebrate the 40th anniversary of their charity single, "Do They Know It's Christmas?" with a new version featuring different eras of the track mixed together.

The updated version of the song will premiere on UK radio and music streaming platforms on Monday 25th November, marking the 40th anniversary of the 1984 original hit. The first line-up of Band Aid was assembled by Bob Geldof and Midge Ure, consisting of such '80s stars as Phil Collins, Tony Hadley, George Michael and Sting.

A new "ultimate mix" of Band Aid's Do They Know It's Christmas? is being released to celebrate the charity single's 40th anniversary. Producer Trevor Horn has created a mix which combines the star-studded vocals from three previous versions of the song,
