The victim was hit in the neck and shoulder and was taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center in critical condition.

CHICAGO - A 59-year-old man was shot and killed Monday night in Chicago’s Englewood neighborhood. Around 6:20 p.m., the man was near an alley in the 6400 block of South Parnell Avenue when he was struck by gunfire. The man was shot in his arm and ear and pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
