Indian stock market indices, Sensex and Nifty 50, are likely to open higher on Tuesday led by positive global market cues.The trends on Gift Nifty also indicate a positive start for the Indian benchmark index.

The stock jumped more than 12% to hit its lifetime high of Rs 7,598. The surge was as the company received Central Drugs Standard Control Organisations approval to import and distribute Durvalumab. The drug is used with chemotherapy before surgery and alone after surgery for NSCLC (lung cancer).

For the first time, the Sensex has surged past 85,000 points, continuing a record-breaking streak in the Indian stock market, driven by gains in the steel and automotive sectors. Among the top performers in the 30-share Sensex were Tata Steel, JSW Steel, and Powergrid, while Hindustan Unilever, Infosys, and Bajaj Finance were among the laggards.
