Some areas that will experience flash flooding include Kahului, Kihei, Lahaina, Kula, Pukalani, Makawao, Keokea, Haliimaile, Paia, Puunene, Haiku-Pauwela, Wailea, Pauwela, Maalaea, Huelo, Ulupalakua, Makena, Waikapu, Wailuku and Waiehu.
Severe thunderstorm, flash flood warnings expire for Maui but gusty winds remain
HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - A severe thunderstorm warning and flash flood warning are in effect for Maui as heavy rain and thunderstorms drench the island. The severe thunderstorm warning remains in effect until 5:30 a.m. Friday. The flash flood warning is also in effect until 7:30 a.m. Friday.
