The Michelin Guide has officially rescinded Kâu Ba’s Bib Gourmand. “Upon further investigation, our team has discovered the restaurant has been permanently closed since our Inspection team’s visits occurred,” Michelin said in a statement on the morning of Thursday, November 14.

For the first time in history, Michelin has awarded restaurants in Texas. Although many of the chosen establishments across the state and Dallas-Fort Worth are expensive, there are still options that are more accessible.

The Michelin Guide Texas officially launched Nov. 11 with a ceremony at 713 Music Hall in Houston announcing the restaurants that received coveted Michelin stars. Of the 15 restaurants that received a Michelin star, six are from the Houston area. Craft Omakase — Charlie Wang & Nguyen Nguyen (Austin)
