The polls opened at 6 a.m. and will remain open until 8 p.m. in New Jersey, allowing 14 hours for in-person voting on Election Day.

Most states open their polls at 7 a.m. local, but some start voting as early as 5 a.m. or as late as 10 a.m. This information all depends on which state you live in, and sometimes even on your county or municipality.
