Virginia Gov. Glenn Youngkin (R) and the Democrats who control the General Assembly have one last year to work with -- or against -- each other in Richmond.

Virginia‘s legislative session will begin on Wednesday but will immediately gavel out for the day until next week because of water problems in Richmond. Richmond was placed under a boil advisory on Monday after a significant winter storm caused a power outage at the city’s water treatment plant.

General Assembly session on pause as a result of Richmond’s water crisis, lawmakers on both sides of the aisle agree that when they return to Richmond on Jan. 13, Virginia’s aging infrastructure will be a topic of discussion.
