Hidden apps in Apple's iOS 18 are not fully invisible
Apple's latest operating system, iOS 18, introduces a novel feature that allows users to hide apps from their devices. This function not only removes the app icon from the home screen but also secures it in a specially designed 'Hidden' folder within the App Library.

When an app is locked and hidden, iOS 18 prevents detection via many of the typical methods. App notifications are not shown, nor do results from that app appear in Spotlight search. Even if you go into the Storage screen in Settings, the names of hidden apps are obscured until biometrics authentication takes place.
